Colombia Data Privacy Update | Zoom under investigation over data protection

SIC, Colombia’s industry and commerce authority, is investigating whether Zoom is in compliance with the country’s laws regarding data privacy.

SIC’s decision to probe Zoom stems from the notable increase in its use, following the global COVID-19 pandemic, and concerns over its management of security and user data, as reported by Harvard University Professor, Bruce Scheneir.
